Created for Connection
October 2nd & 3rd 2026
Friday 1pm – Saturday 6pm
A Created for Connection Workshop offers couples a unique opportunity to deepen their bond, rebuild trust, and create lasting emotional connections.
About the Workshop
The truth is, loving well is hard—especially in a world that constantly pulls us in different directions. Even when we are intentional about nurturing our most important relationships, we can find ourselves stuck in a cycle of misunderstandings, hurts, and unmet longings. Yet we know that God wants to meet us and help us in this place.
Created for Connection offers a space to pause, refocus, and pair your intentionality with proven guidance to restore and deepen intimacy and understanding. Hosted at 7th Seed, a working farm and retreat center, this picturesque setting invites couples to slow down, reconnect, and experience renewal in a peaceful, grounded environment.
In some relationships, partners feel they could use some “fine-tuning.” In other relationships, partners feel an adjustment to the entire “culture” of the relationship is needed. This workshop serves couples across this spectrum—from those seeking small adjustments to those looking to reignite their connection and heal.
Grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), the workshop integrates the wisdom of Jesus, the Author of Love, and demonstrates how the best of modern couples psychology aligns beautifully with God’s timeless truths about love and connection.
Throughout the workshop, we will guide you and your partner through the first four of seven key conversations drawn from the Created for Connection framework.
-
Recognizing the “Disconnecting Dialogues”: Identify negative interaction patterns that create distance between you and your partner.
-
Finding the Raw Spots: Uncover the hidden vulnerabilities that fuel conflict and misunderstanding.
-
Revisiting a Rocky Moment: Reflect on past conflicts to foster understanding and healing.
-
Hold Me Tight: Learn how to create a secure, comforting connection during vulnerable moments.
-
Forgiving Injuries: Address and heal emotional wounds to rebuild trust and safety.
-
Bonding Through Sex and Touch: Deepen your physical and emotional intimacy.
-
Keeping Your Love Alive: Develop strategies to nurture and sustain your relationship long-term.
This time is more than a workshop; it’s an investment in your relationship. Participating alongside other couples creates a shared experience that builds community and fosters mutual encouragement. By engaging in these meaningful conversations, you and your partner will gain tools and insights to navigate challenges, strengthen your bond, and create a foundation for a more secure and fulfilling future together.
Join us and take a step toward creating the connection you both deserve.

Is this workshop for us?
Great question. When you’re taking an intentional step to grow or heal your relationship, you want a good outcome. Hold Met Tight® / Created for Connection® workshops are informed by Emotionally Focused – the gold standard in couples therapy. EFT is associated with very good outcomes. That said, our workshops are not considered therapeutic interventions and there are some circumstances that may indicate that a workshop with us should wait. Please know that these concerns exist on a spectrum of severity and don’t necessarily indicate that a Hold Me Tight/Created for Connection workshop is not for you. Some discernment together with a workshop facilitator would be helpful if the following are concerns in your relationship:
1. Affairs
EFT workshops are not recommended for couples where there is an active, ongoing affair, particularly if one partner is unwilling to end the affair. Repairing one attachment relationship becomes nearly impossible when there is a competing attachment relationship. While significant healing is possible after an affair if both partners are committed to rebuilding their relationship, an undisclosed or ongoing affair makes genuine healing unfeasible. If both parties are ready to repair, our workshop can provide meaningful support in the healing process.
2. Abuse
Abuse exists on a spectrum, ranging from isolated incidents during moments of heightened conflict to patterns of deliberate, strategic control and domination. If your relationship involves significant emotional, physical, or sexual violence, or if abuse is being used to maintain power and control, our workshops are not appropriate. The workshops are designed to foster vulnerability, which requires a foundation of physical, emotional, and sexual safety. For those experiencing severe abuse, we encourage contacting one of the facilitators for resources and support. If the abuse is less severe or situational, please reach out to a facilitator to discuss whether the workshop may be suitable for your situation.
3. Differing Agendas
Couples may come to a workshop with differing levels of clarity about their goals. It is completely normal to feel uncertain about what might happen or what you hope to achieve. However, if one partner is determined to end the relationship while the other wants to repair it, the workshop may not be a productive experience. That said, transformative experiences are possible even in difficult circumstances..
4. Addiction
Addiction, whether related to alcohol, drugs, gambling, or pornography, can range from casual use to severe dependency. In some cases, couples can address problematic use and behavior during the workshop. However, if the addiction is severe and requires immediate or primary treatment, it is recommended to address the addiction first before attending Hold Me Tight® or Created for Connection®. If you’re unsure about the severity of the addiction, reach out to one of the presenters for guidance.
